ACT Organic Street Clutch Kits offer a reliable and dependable clutch for your modified street or race car. The street kit uses the organic disc for smooth engagement and easy daily drivability while still offering high clamp loads to handle your power output.
ACT pressure plates feature creative diaphragm designs that increase clamp load, reduce deflection and maximize clutch life. All diaphragms endure an exclusive four stage heat treating process for unparalleled performance. Diaphragms are induction hardened on the release bearing contact area to reduce wear and promote smooth operation. Most applications feature three clamp load ratings, choose between a Sport, Heavy Duty, or Xtreme pressure plate. Sport pressure plates (SP) are recommended for street use and feature stock to moderate pedal feel. Clamp load increase from 20-40%. Heavy Duty pressure plates (HD) are recommended for street or race use and offer stock to moderate pedal feel with 20-50% increase. Xtreme pressure plates (XT) are recommended for street or race use and offer moderate to stiff pedal feel with 50-120% increase.
Different organic discs are also available depending on your application. The "00" Street Disc is an OEM organic street disc. Recommended for street use with smooth engagement. The "MM" Modified Street Disc is a modified organic street disc. Recommended for street or occasional race with quicker engagement. It has improved friction material and/or hub strength. The "SS" Performance Street Disc is the best organic friction material available with improved hub and burst strength. Recommended for street and race with quicker engagement. The "SD" Solid Hub Street Disc is similar to the Performance Street Disc but with a solid hub. It offers minimum weight for faster shifts and less street to synchronizers. Recommended for street and race with quicker engagement.
All kits come with pressure plate and disc. Most applications include bearings and alignment tool if applicable.
